Adjust the team to the needs of the project
Your project requires a diversity of contributions, and the way it evolves may induce some changes to your team.
To best address this reconfiguration, you can rely on the following questions:
- To continue your project, what contributions and expertise are now needed?
- What roles are to be covered?
- To date, what expertise are you lacking?
- Ideally, who should join your team? More reasonably, who could join your team?
- Conversely, what contributions are no longer needed?
- Which members of your team seem to be disengaging from the project? How can you clarify the situation?
- …
You can invite new team members on a temporary or permanent basis, and consider the departure of other members.
For each change you are considering, do it in a sensible way. Do I need permission to invite someone? How can you make it easier for newcomers to board? How to show gratitude to the outgoing members?
